| This small town is basically a seaside suburb of Palermo.
Its streets are lined with homes ranging from grand with gardens
to simple summer places, with a few apartment complexes thrown in.
All the action here is seaside, in a huge piazza lined with restaurants
and cafes.

You’ll see families gathering here, and packs of friends,
because the deal is a mere 25 euro (at last visit) for a huge menu
on which you get only a choice of main course. As soon as you sit,
the wine, water, and antipasti start coming. Then there will be
two or three first courses – pasta and risotto -- then your
choice of a second plate. Then dessert. I think coffee is extra.
You may not get that far. My friends always want to end with the
pasta course. I forge ahead. Among the stand-out dishes are a very
Sicilian-style risotto with tiny shrimp and pistachios. Even if
you love only half the food, there is so much to eat, it is such
fun, and the price is so fairly priced, you will not be disappointed.
