Day 1

  • lunch (prepared in class)
  • visit Greek Temples of Paestum and Temples Museum
  • dinner at Nonna Sceppa, a local Restaurant

Day 2

  • breakfast
  • Tour Naples
  • bus orientation to city (photo opportunity in Posillipo)
  • market visit
  • walk through Spaccanapoli, the old city, visiting churches, the majolica cloister of Santa Chiara, etc. with stop for sfogliatelle at Pasticceria Scaturcchio
  • seafood lunch at Ciro a Mergellina
  • Shopping walk through the Chiaia area (chic shops) or visit to Capodimonte Museum, or National Archaeological Museum
  • return to Seliano for a light, late supper

BuffaloDay 3

  • breakfast
  • visit caseficio to see mozzarella and ricotta being made, visit buffalo
    farm and vegetable market
  • luncheon tasting of cheeses and dairy products, etc., at Masseria
    Eliseo, including tasting of local wines and visit from a local winemaker
  • free time
  • Cooking Class
  • dinner (prepared in class) and tasting of local wines and products

CheeseDay 4

  • breakfast
  • Tour Salerno and Vietri sul Mare
  • cathedral and Crypt of San Matteo
  • Pasticceria Pantaleone for pastry snack
  • Via Mercanti, the shopping street, and old streets of Salerno
  • lunch at the Salerno Yacht Club
  • visit Vietri sul Mare for pottery shopping and Amalfi Coast views and tastes
  • dinner in old Salerno: Pizzeria Vicolo della Neve (not just pizza)

SalernoDay 5

  • breakfast
  • Cooking Class
  • lunch (prepared in class)
  • free time (optional visit to local pottery stores)
  • aperitivi at the home of Countess Camilla Giannuzzi Savelli, Paestum
  • farewell reception
